Must-see spots in Osaki Town
Yokose Tomb
It is a large keyhole-shaped tumulus with a total length of about 5m, built in the middle of the Kofun period (mid-140th century). Although it is a nationally designated historic site, anyone can enter freely, and you can even climb the tumulus itself and enjoy the view from the top. Many of the excavated items are on display in the archives at the town central community center.
Osaki Beach
This coastline is rich in nature and has been selected as one of the "100 Best White Sand and Green Pine Coasts in Japan." It is also known as a breeding ground for the endangered sea turtle, the little tern. If you're lucky, you can watch race horses training on the coast, and in the spring you can enjoy clam digging.
Kuni no Matsubara (campsite)
This year-round campground has a swimming pool and beach nearby. There are 8, 6 and 4 person bungalows and campsites to meet a variety of needs.
