Satsuma Students Memorial House

In 1865, 19 Satsuma samurai including Godai Tomoatsu were ordered by the domain to study in the UK, and they departed from Hashima, prepared to die, breaking the national ban. After returning to Japan, they contributed to the modernization of Japan in many fields, and their achievements are introduced here through the exhibition of their valuable materials. The elegant red brick Satsuma-style Western-style building also has a cafe and shop.
