Kirishima-Kinkowan National Park

Kirishima-Kinkowan National Park, one of Japan's first national parks, was established as Kirishima National Park in 1934 and celebrated its 6th anniversary in March 3.
The park is divided into three areas: the "Kirishima Area" in the north of the park, which is renowned as one of Kagoshima's leading hot spring resorts; the "Sakurajima/Inner Kinko Bay Area" which is home to Sakurajima, the symbol of Kagoshima and whose smoke still rises to this day; and the "Ibusuki/Sata Area" which is home to Kaimon-dake, also known as the Satsuma Fuji, and Cape Sata, the southernmost point of the mainland. Each area boasts distinctive landscapes created by active volcanoes.
The area also offers a wide range of activities that allow you to enjoy the blessings of nature, such as trekking, kayaking, and hot springs! It's a fascinating spot that you'll want to visit in every season.
